Three high profile producers sign songwriting agreements with the Sentric outfit
Sentric’s concierge electronic music publishing service, Black Rock, has added three more high profile electronic music producers to its roster, under exclusive songwriting agreements.
ANNA, Felix Da Housecat and Archie Hamilton have all joined the respected publishing company, following other big names such as Mark Knight, Rodriquez Jr and Roni Size.
Having released tracks on some of the most revered labels in the Techno scene, including KOMPAKT, Drumcode and Afterlife, ANNA ranked at No.15 in DJ Mag’s alternative chart in 2020. Her 2018 vinyl DJ set for Cercle has garnered over 3 million views on YouTube to date.
As a core figure in the second wave of Chicago House, Felix Da Housecat needs little introduction. He is a two-time Grammy Award nominee and owner of the Founders Of Filth record label, which has received accolades from Billboard, Mixmag, Resident Advisor and DJ Mag, as well as extensive radio support from BBC Radio 1, Triple J, Capital Xtra and KCRW.
Archie Hamilton has had a remarkable rise through the underground to become one of the most respected artists in Minimal House and Techno. Archie´s productions have been consistently supported on BBC Radio 1 by Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Danny Howard.
All three artists will be taking full advantage of Black Rock´s personalised Creative, Sync and Client Management services.
Mark Lawrence, Director of Electronic Music said:
“I am in a unique and privileged position to be able to announce the signing of three artists that I have known and admired for a long time. Each artist carries a special influence in Electronic Music and their continued and growing success is a powerful reflection of their refined artistry.
We are humbled and proud to welcome ANNA and Archie to the Black Rock family and to confirm that Felix, a client since we first started, has deepened his relationship with us to take full advantage of our Creative Services.”
Anna said: “I am very excited to have signed to Black Rock/Sentric and join their growing electronic roster for publishing. I have been writing music throughout the lockdown, developing my own style and expressions, and the importance of ensuring my creations and works are optimized has never been greater. I have huge belief in the creative team at Black Rock/Sentric to open new avenues for my music.”
Felix Da Housecat said: “I have known Mark Lawrence for years and he knows everybody and everything and I am happy to be working with him and the Black Rock team.”
Archie Hamilton said: “I’m really excited to be working with Black Rock/Sentric and their impressive roster of talent; I’ve already finished a collaboration with a fantastic vocalist that they put me together with. It’s made me push my boundaries and now making the music I’ve always wanted to. The regular contact with the creative team is super inspiring and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next!”
